This urban wild sauna is situated in the heart of Glasgow's west end. Despite this, The Wild Heat sauna still feels like a quiet, calm space. Located within West of Scotland's cricket ground in Partick, the view is green and peaceful.

Our Wild Sauna Visit
We visited The Wild Heat sauna on a mild Sunday morning in March. We were intrigued as to how such an urban wild sauna would compare to those by the sea or lochs and although there's definitely a difference, The Wild Heat didn't disappoint.
Guide to Facilities
Parking
The cricket ground is surrounded by pay and display on street parking (free on Sunday) or Partick station is a short walk away with bus, train and underground links.
Changing
There is a large undercover changing area with benches and hooks for storing belongings. There are also two changing cubicles for more privacy, each has a hook and bench inside.
Host
Our host was friendly and relaxed, popping into the sauna to serve some very welcome orange slices around halfway through our session. It would have been helpful to receive a brief orientation on arrival, as well as a gentle 5 -10 minute reminder before our session was due to end.
The Hot Bit
This wood-fired wild sauna seats 9 on L-shaped bench seating with a large arch window at one end overlooking the cricket pitch and dogs of the west end enjoying their Sunday morning walks. There is a 15 minute sand timer to help gauge your session but no clock. This was a very hot sauna, with the temperature reaching 110° at one point.
The Cold Bit
Outside the sauna is a small area for cooling off either in the cold shower or one of two plunge barrels.
Food/Drinks Nearby
Water and cups were available. Being located in the heart of the west end of Glasgow this sauna is surrounded by plenty of options to indulge in some post sauna nourishment.
